There’s a documentary on Netflix called Babies, one of the episodes features a woman who did a study in growth. She measured babies in really frequent intervals (daily I think??) and her research confirmed that babies have pretty dramatic growth spurts and will grow during the course of a day. So while growth charts are commonly depicted as curves, the reality is more like steps.
@Rhiannon that's amazing! I'll have to check it out
Yup, especially when they are younger. There would be fussy or sleepy days where I would wonder what was going on, and then the next morning when I picked her up, I realized oh, that's why.
I think it feels less dramatic as they get bigger because the growth becomes less noticeable, but it's definitely still there. I literally just bought 12 month clothes that now no longer fit. 😡😡😡
It’s not in your head babe. My baby grows when he sleeps 😀😂. How can it be in our head. His face and body really grow during naps and we notice too. Most rapidly I noticed was 4 - 8 months 🥰
