Any one else sick of ‘clever buggers’?!

My little boy is a terrible sleeper and a terrible eater. Honestly, I know I’m a great mum and I have done so much research into sleep and spent SO much time and energy making healthy nutritious meals (and still do continue to do so in case one day something clicks and he eats healthy stuff!) But I’m in the situation where he doesn’t eat very much at all so I have to give him what he will eat or he will go hungry. People keeping saying ‘he’ll eat if he’s hungry’ but he is so stubborn and he just doesn’t. People (my sister in law is the worst) who have kids who will eat anything and everything are so judgey of me and nake out like I’m a bad mum because of what my child eats. But they just don’t get it because they’re lucky that their children eat healthy stuff. I’m so sick of it. I’m pleased for them that their child is a good eater but so annoyed that they lack empathy and think I’m doing something wrong because mine isn’t!

I'm not sure how old your little boy is but I'm sure it all will click one day z

If you sent him to your sister in laws/mom or whoever would he eat what they serve? Sometimes kids know exactly what to do to make caregivers give in. If this is only a habit with you I would be more firm. As a teacher I’ve seen kids eat things “they would never eat at home” because it was the option presented.

@Jenneca I’m a primary school teacher and have been for 12 years so I’ve seen it too. No he won’t eat most things anywhere, for anyone. He’s just so fussy 😔 I have tried every trick in the book and it really gets me down when people make comments that imply it’s my fault, it really pisses me off. Just because they haven’t experienced it themselves, they think they’re a better parent 🙈

Shocked by how many of you have put ‘I am one of them’ ! Maybe try reevaluating yourself because it’s not a good trait to have!!

My mother in law said that happened to one of her kids . They were a great eater then wouldn't eat anything. She said she'd just feed them whatever they would eat, even if it meant going back to baby purees just so they would get fed and they eventually went back to eating normal food. You're doing your best mumma. Keep up the great work and don't let the haters get you down. X
