My son just chipped his front tooth

He’s not in pain anymore and seems to be fine. However I’m dying, his sweet little smile is all broken and his words have a little lisp now. It’s too late to call a dentist. I don’t know what to do

Dental assistant here! How old is he? No pain is a good sign and the good news is that it’s a baby tooth. Depending on the age, a composite bonding (filling) may be a good option but sometimes if it’s a minor chip, it may be best to leave it alone!

Go to the dentist for an x-ray. My little did the same, and it had to be pulled. They followed up and told us what to watch for. He ended up with an ulcer on his gum above the tooth, which they said could happen. It had been slowly dying over several months.

@Keturah I couldn’t find the chipped piece. He’s only 3

@Callie I plan on going tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up!

They’ll take an X-ray and see how far it is and go from there!!

I’m so nervous.
