Postpartum question? I think?

I had my 3 week check up today, dr said everything was healing perfect and beautifully. She said she doesn’t need to see me back in 3 weeks for my 6 week check up unless something is wrong or I have concerns. Therefore my next appointment is in 6 months for a regular check up. My question is when can I have intercourse and use tampons again? Do I still need to wait 6 weeks? I know I should’ve asked while I was at the dr’s office but it never crossed my mind.
