We didn’t get a prep machine as the NHS doesn’t recommend them as the hot shot is not guaranteed to be the right temperature to sterilise the formula. So we got a kettle that keeps water at 70 degrees and we use a shot of that plus cooled boiled water in a jug to prep bottles.

Love the prep machine ourself but must say we got a spare and defo didn’t produce hot enough water. Will be using again for our new baby
The recommend not using a bottle prep machine until baby is a few months old as they can't be fully sterilised and don't necessarily sterilise the formula powder like boiling water would.

Tommee tippee go prep is amazing literally takes minutes and it’s only a flask so not loads of room in the kitchen! I had a prep machine with my first & he was really sick and found out they aren’t recommend because the hot shot doesn’t get hot enough to kill the bacteria and you’re not able to clean the pipes in the machine properly. X
