Advice please

So I want to try BLW (we are just on puree and I’m feeding him) but I’m terrified something is going to happen like him chocked etc I can’t figure out or understand how he can have toast/finger food at 6 months without any teeth to break down anything Meals - I am giving him his milk with meals because I don’t want to be feeding all the time or for it to be a choir I want meal times to be fun Am I ok to give him things like spag bowel etc things that I eat? Snacks - when did you start introducing snacks throughout the day? Water - what cups is everyone using he just can’t get to grips with a straw And do you give supper? He’s not sleeping through the night and didn’t know if he might still be hungry but again I don’t want to be over feeding him I’m exhausted and everything I read contradicts itself

Did your baby ever bite you? Their gums are so hard that they can easily smash soft food :) if you can smash it between two fingertips it means that they will be fine with it. To make yourself calmer before start blw look for first aid in case of choking. And remember red and loud baby is fine, blue and silent mean choking. Meals - at the moment baby just trying solids and milk is their main source of everything. So it best to separate those. You can give baby everything except sugar, salt, honey, raw meat or egg. ;) For water we are using doidy cup. With my daughter we have lunch and late dinner around 5pm. She still wakes up at night. So at night wakes up have nothing to do with supper because those are very Individual for every child. Some children still wakes up at 2 years old :) and probably your baby is so young that it does not eat massive amounts of solids yet. ;)

Oh and baby won't eat more than he or she want. So probably it might be very hard to overfeed baby unless you force bottle or food into their throat 😅

See books and internet say you can give egg but to be careful as it’s an allergy it’s so confusing How do you do it? Milk then feeding we aren’t in a routine sometimes he’s up at 7 sometimes it’s earlier

I mean raw egg :) cooked is fine . Usually i give milk then around 1h later meal. We do not have routine as well. I've just decided that she have lunch after 2nd feeding and then dinner with us which is usually around hour after milk sometimes bit more :). With introducing allergens you need to be careful but do not avoid them ;) if you have anymore question feel free to msg me :)

Try rusks, they melt into a porridge texture when in the mouth (and gets everywhere BTW)

@Hannah it packed with sugar. 29gr per 100 g of product...

I give him rucks with milk to crush it down as a ‘puree’ he loves them

@Natalia you can get reduced sugar.

If that’s what people want to give to there babies it’s nothing to do with you! You shouldn’t be putting other people women down. I had then and they never did me any harm.

The risk of choking mostly comes from whole berries and grapes as well as things that can be inhaled like peanuts and rice. I used to also check the roof of my son's mouth after meals when he was younger, because some foods would stick there. Babies love spaghetti, but best to cook it without salt and just salt your own portion later. Snacks-around 7 months Water- munchkin cup with the silicone cover that they drink through It depends on the baby, my son started demanding food whenever everyone else was eating pretty quickly. We do purées as well because I don't always have time to cook and he ends up eating more when it's puréed. This is my second BLWed baby, the less you read about it and the more you just do what feels natural, the more fun it will be. The only choking incident I've ever had was when my daughter was one and she stuffed her mouth with lots of biscottis and grape halves, but even then one hard back pat, then she started coughing by herself.
