advice needed!

hey yall! my girl is 6 1/2 months, and we’re having some issues with feeding. she exclusively bottle feeds (formula) and drinks about 8 oz every 4 hours. i’ve been trying to get her to take full feeds but lately they have been taking 1-2 hours to get her to drink it all (and i know she can do it, as a month or so ago she would down 8 oz every 4 hours with ease). the past month she has been drinking so slow, and needs a 30 min break in between every few oz. i know she has reflux, and has since birth, so i try and get her to burp frequently. but even after this is takes time for her to want the bottle again. most times she just wants to chew on the nipple or have play time. i’ve tried extending the time between bottles but it hasn’t helped at all. she still takes her sweet time🫠 i have heard it could be a part of teething (as the doctor said her bottom left tooth is close to breaking), but curious to see if anyone else has experience with this or any advice on what to try so i can speed up her time drinking. it makes it hard to do much of anything outside of trying to get her to eat. thanks in advance! pic of the culprit for tax🤣

just as an example. this is how she acts after 2 oz, and won’t drink again for another 30 mins 🤣🫠

Hi! I don’t have any advice but my baby is also teething and also has slowed down his drinking, sometimes not completing his full feed

Is she weaning? My girl is weaned and when she's too full or teething she won't take a bottle and needs them so spaced out

My daughter does this when teething as well, she's less interested in the bottle when she gets teeth through and can just mess around so I try persevere as much as I can but then give up if she really has no interest. I guess if their mouth is sore they may not be as hungry 😬 Her appetite also drops after a growth spurt so another possibility maybe? Although this normally only lasts a week or so for us.

Hi, have you tried changing the nipple size of the bottle? We used Dr browns for my first son who was formula fed. Around 5-6 months he was more alert and trying to get up and move during feeds, just super distracted. The flow was too slow for him at that point and he would get annoyed of not much milk coming out. We sized up and it made a huge difference

@Samina shes always been bottle fed formula since i stopped breastfeeding at 2 months. just hoping this won’t last forever 😁

@Louise hmmm i never thought abt a growth spurt being a possibility. i feel like she’s growing so fast so quick, at her four month appt. she was 14 lb and 22 in. and at her 6 month she went to 20 lb and 27 in🤣 just hoping this won’t last forever 🤣🤣

@Camila i’ve been thinking about going to a level three to see if it helps! we are at a level 2 now, since 3 months. but she may need to go up😊

@Isabella hope so. My girls always been on formula bottle fed too but notice she isn't taking as much now since weaning.

My kids drunk it all usually every time when they were babies but the older they got the more active they got so whatever they didn't drink i just put the rest in the refrigerator and then when they were hungry again the bottle was already ready .....it's not a big deal if they don't drink it all shes probably full at the moment so dont Stress on it

@Isabella if the teats use the same ‘size guide’ as mam id definitely size up my little boys been on a size 2 teat since he was about 3 weeks old x
