What to do when you find out you're pregnant?

I recently found out I'm with child. I think I'm about 8 weeks. I rang my GP to ask what to do and the referred me to the midwife team, from there I was told a form online (self refer) and a midwife will get in touch with me. It's been two weeks since I did that and I haven't gotten any feedback. Does it usually take this long or is there something else I should do?

Hey lovely, congrats! 🥰 you’ve done it correct! I filled the self referral form in and then downloaded an app called badger where my appointment showed on there, it was around the 11 week mark my appointment came up! (The app may not be available to everyone depending on where you live) when you receive your email back from the self referral it will tell you if your area has an app (my friend is from Bolton and she never had one) hope this helps ☺️

Once I had self referred I had to wait until I was 11 weeks before my first appointment. (I found out on the first day of my missed period) It's fairly normal. You should recieve a phone call beforehand though at some point. Just depends on the trust x

Your first appointment is around 8 weeks (booking appointment) so I would call the midwives and say you did the form but didn’t hear back yet

Thank you for your responses. I really appreciate ❤️

@Saima I live in Penwortham Preston.

@Priscilla Ayobami Download Badger app

@🔮Angela🔮 I downloaded the badger app but I don't know what my activation phrase is

@Priscilla Ayobami you need to Google the number for the pregnancy team at Preston and let them know you’re still waiting. They’re usually good, but they need a nudge
