Also to mention the normal thyroid levels from pregnancy are different than when u r not pregnant. Am not sure if ur current doctor is considering it !
Thank you for the advice! Currently waiting on a referral to the endocrinologist, and the results of my latest blood test - just the fear there’s already damage done won’t leave! X
I understand that fear well. Baby will be fine mama , manifest the positive thoughts
My levels were extremely off my entire pregnancy and I have a normal baby. Don’t stress out too much. Your little will be fine.
Im in the same situation I was diagnosed 8 weeks pregnant, im on 50mg they havent upped it so far and they said to get my bloods done every trimester to see if levels change. I am current 23 weeks and my 20 week scan went all ok however, i will have regular growth scans at 28 weeks to make sure baby growing as they should be.
@Esther ah it’s nice I’m not alone in the boat haha! Ah I have to have bloods every 4 weeks and once I get there the same growth scans as you - I hope everything goes well for you, let me know! ❤️❤️
Thank you lovely, I’ll keep you posted on my journey. I wish you all the best and let me know xx
Doctors needed.to take this seriously coz pregnancy thyroid levels MUST be monitored very closely. Not sure why they told u 3months ! Is it possible to get recommendations from nyourmprimary doctor for a dedicated endocrinologist? They will be able to get your thyroid levels in control sooner. Also, to absorb the medicine better, u may need to go for brand name such as synthroid instead of levothyroxine which is genneric.. it depends on what works for ur body. Also take it in morning while fasting and don't eat for one hour after medicine .. also less cruciferous veggies for a while
