@Harri hey it’s posterior placenta previa. My consultant has booked my C section for 36+6 on 30th December! Eeek
Ahh, it seems more common for posterior placentas not to move. I wish you all the best, I’m sure everything will go great. And you know your baby will be with you before the year is over ❤️
@Harri thank you! And you too. All the best on your arrival ☺️☺️
You are still entitled to a 36 week scan if the placenta hasn't moved by 32 weeks. I had a low lying placenta and during my many nights of reading research papers and listening to women's stories, some with a complete poster placenta previa still had a placenta change of heart where it moved so I think still ask for an additional scan. You never know!
Hello, can I ask, is your placenta anterior or posterior? Thanks. I wouldn’t know the answer to when they might want to do the section but I imagine it would depend on whether or not you have any bleeding. If not I still assume they might want to do it at 37-38 weeks to prevent any potential bleeding, but that is just based on the little knowledge I have. I myself am a placenta previa baby and my mum had a rupture, so she had no choice but to have an emergency section, back then they didn’t even monitor the position of the placenta so they had no idea.
