Aptamil anti reflux formula help!
My little boy has just been diagnosed with silent reflux by the doctor and given gaviscon but also been advised to use anti reflux formula. I am being a bit thick with making it up, we were using the hot shot method with the nuby rapid cool with the kendamil formula but after reading the instructions on the formula box I don’t know if I can do this with this formula? Any advice would be super helpful 🩷

@Joanna do you cool it down in the nuby? It’s so confusing because I thought the hot shot was meant to sterilise the formula but this formula doesn’t need that?
@Gabrielle i think that formula is made sterile so it doesn’t need to be at 70degrees. I just used to boil kettle and wait 45 minutes, it was hard work😴🤣
@Joanna honestly I hate it 😂 it stinks and it’s such hard work, night one tonight with it so I hope it works 🫣
@Gabrielle good luck! I’d just use nuby first with water on its own and then add formula. It was washing the bottles that did me, it just sticks to the bottles and doesn’t budge 🙄

I was always under the impression you can’t use gaviscon with anti reflux formula anyway as it will make them extremely constipated. But If you use too hot water with anti reflux milk it makes it clumpy and doesn’t dissolve properly, when I used it I boiled water that had cooled down a bit x
