How much is actually eaten

I always see mums sharing what their babies are eating during the day. How much is actually being ingested? My son loves food, but let’s be honest..50% of the food ends up on the ground, smushed into the tray, or spat out

I feed mine myself so let’s say I make him 2 fish fingers and potatoes with veggies, few spoons of veggies, loves potato so maybe good 3 spoons of potatoes and 1 sometimes 2 fish fingers. Mostly one though. 😅 I do 6 oz in between bottles but will soon start offering solids first then a bottle

More than 50% of my baby's food ends up on the floor! I think some babies just take to food quicker than others... my girl loves to play and explore the food. She'll try new things and put them in her mouth maybe even bite but she mostly takes a few bites and spits out. We have a new art canvas on the kitchen floor every day😆 as long as he's trying, playing, exploring tastes and textures don't worry 💜

Sometimes I think, oh wow she's eaten loads, and then I look in her bib and almost the entire dinner is in there. She loves food though and when I spoon feed her she eats the whole lot. I think she's just still working out how to feed herself and playing and exploring.

Depends on how old they are, my boy is 9 months, and if he feeds himself about 50/50 gets ingested. If I feed 100 gets ingested
