Anxiety

I’m 5 weeks and just wondered if anyone else suffered/suffers with major anxiety about the baby’s well being at this point like I’m just in constant fear that something is going to go wrong even tho I feel fine physically

Mine didn’t go away (and still hasn’t completely) until I started feeling baby move around 21 weeks. I had no symptoms all pregnancy so had high anxiety and was constantly worrying if everything was ok. Every scan was reassuring for about 24 hours but that’s it🥹 I’m 28 weeks now and still stress when baby is quiet.

Yea horrendously

Hey! If this helps in any way - the safest place for your baby is in your stomach.. I'm a mom of a 1 week old and felt the same way throughout my pregnancy and then someone from work told me that the worrying about your child lasts forever, just enjoy the pregnancy and remember he or she is in the safest and best spot possible at this time. Thought I would share it back. Hope it helps.

@Julie Thankyou! X

I suffer with anxiety and panic attacks and have waves of worrying if everything okay. I had a private early scan at 7 weeks which was great as it showed a heartbeat. Also I mentioned all this in my meeting at 8 weeks with the midwife and she was really helpful and reassuring. I’ve had practically no pregnancy symptoms so keep panicking that’s somethings gone wrong, but apparently it’s more common that I realised x

The anxiety is awful! I lost my first as a ruptured ectopic. I have kept my pregnancy tests with the progression of the line, which I keep in the bathroom so each time I go in it’s a great visual reminder that the pregnancy is going well. Also put a screensaver of affirmations like “today I am pregnant”. Also started routine of using belly butter and rub this on my tummy (I know it’s early but I feel it helps give me reassurance that everything is okay and starts to build a bond with baby). Hopefully one of these could help or maybe give some ideas 🥰🥰🥰
