We do secret Santa.
I'm do £30 this year for 6 people, LO has his own budget. In our family Christmas is more about being together with family and having good food, presents are secondary. In previous years when I was almost broke I did £10 for everyone and made custom art for each person.
We do secret Santa on my side and then my husbands side with a £50 limit on each. Children not included so we buy for all of our nieces and nephews
We do secret Santa, it’s fun and makes it exciting. Plus saves a ton in the long run
£30 maximum this year for each of my parents and two siblings. They understand that money is tight now and would rather we spent it on our son throughout the year. My partner does his side of the family (they don't really bother though). I have spent around £100 on my partner when I factor in gifts from our son and then something from me.
Around £20 per person
We have a budget of £50 per grandparent, and £30 for anyone else, we’ve also made an agreement that we’re not buying for siblings this year only kids (our daughter has 2 uncles and 4 aunties) there’s a cost of living crisis and money is tight for everyone you have no need to feel bad! We opened a joint vault on Revolut last Jan and aimed to put £20 each month (£10 from me and £10 from my partner) and it has really helped having a chunk of money there to get presents, we’ve also spent maybe £10 on crafty things and sent out cards to about 20 people
We have 8 other kids we buy for so we do £15 each child and then adults get £20 and parents £30 our kids get around £250 each x
£20 is our limit, may seem cheap to some but id rather not skint myself anymore 🤣
