I didn’t have a routine for my baby when she was 4 months and just like yourself I followed her lead. I agree with Maarya, I will also be worrying about a routine when she’s 9/10 months old as I’ll be going back to work. Currently she sleeps between 9-10:30pm as I find if she sleeps earlier she wakes up too much at night and is up an hour later then won’t sleep until after midnight.
My daughters 18 months old and we don’t have a routine or schedule on my days off with her. I don’t work well with a routine so I didn’t feel the need to implement one with her and it mostly works for us x
If it works for you keep doing what you doing 😊 I am very routine driven person and I see that when we are off it my 👶 is not happy so we keep very rigid routine.
19 months and still no routine, she just lets us know when she’s tired and when she’s up and it’s always around the same time lol
I still don't have much of routine with my little one and he's 6 months. I definitely didn't have one when he was 4 months! He's naturally fallen into one himself so we're just following him. The only routine we have kept consistent is bedtime which is bath at 8pm and in bed by 9. We find doing any earlier and he's awake before midnight. Some days he ends up sleeping later, sometimes 10pm! But I'm not too fussed as he still sleeps the whole night. I find routine gives me anxiety and not keeping one has really helped me stay calm and leave the house whenever I want to without having to worry about timings. I think I'll worry more about routine once he's 9/10 months before going to back to work to help with early get ups and sleeping early. You arr absolutely not wrong for doing what you're doing. Everybody has a different way of doing things and it's what's best for you and baby! 💖
