Ham

Hello, I accidently gave my 10 month old a slice of honey roasted ham. I didn't realise it was honey roasted. He maybe had 1 slice max, probs not even a slice. What do I do? I'm panicking a bit!

What's wrong with honey roasted ham?! If it gives you peace of mind, then give it to mine all the time in their sandwiches!

https://solidstarts.com/foods/honey/ Look here. They have good information. It should be OK. Botulism is rare, but do monitor your baby just in case. The "problems" usually happen between 18 to 36 hours after the toxin is ingested, so if your baby is fine, I wouldn't worry too much.

Honey roasted just means that it has honey put over the top when cooking, your little one should be fine x

I don't think there is enough honey on it to be worried, so it should be fine as you only gave him one slice.

@Sarah babies aren't allowed honey before the age of 1.

Thank you all, that's reassuring!

The type of honey they use in processed meat very likely won’t be real honey anyway, might have the smallest trace of it but once cooked I would not worry at all.
