High chair refusal

My little one will not sit and eat in her high chair!! This has been getting progressively worse over the last couple of weeks, and now the only way she will eat more than a couple of mouthfuls is if she is stood up - then she will eat the whole meal! Please tell me this is a normal phase and will correct itself

Omg same 😮‍💨 she wants freeeeeedom, it makes feeding anything wet just a nightmare 🫨

Same. Eating whilst walking round the kitchen. If I get the food ready for her and give her a bit to hold I sometimes have some luck

I put some small slice of soft cucumber or peach in his mouth as a bribe so he realises he's going to get fed and he usually stops protesting. Unless in a weird mood but I've heard of 2 year olds refusing their high chair ever again and wanting a small chair and table esp if they get that set up at nursery

Omg I'm glad others have this issue 🙈🙈 he wouldn't go in for dad the other day but would for me because I have to sing to him to get him to eat while he's in there 🤣🙈

@Ash Ketchum it’s a nightmare! She will sit in her high chair if I put a tv on in front of her, but I am not keen on doing that. Any other time, she sits in it for a few minutes but barely eats. I get her out she walks around and eats everything up! I don’t know what to do to make it better, or do I just ride it out? x
