Toddler not eating

My 18 months old has decided he no longer wants breakfast lunch or dinner🄲. I’ve tired everything possible such as separating his food / putting him at a table instead of the chair and just leaving it on the side so he can pick at it. He gets really upset when I try feed it to him and will then go ahead to refuse further. I don’t really give him snacks in the day anymore because I don’t want him filling his self up on them. If he refuses dinner il give him bowls of tomato and cucumber ( which he usually loves ) but he won’t even eat that! I honestly don’t know what to do anymore to try get him to eatšŸ¤•

Not eating can be a sign of something coming on like a bit of a viral flu or tummy bug or something ? But if he’s fine otherwise try this: with mine, I sit her at the table or high chair and won’t give her a plate but just put everything on my plate and I eat (I make mmmmm noises too šŸ˜‚) and my daughter will literally start licking her lips and drooling only because it’s my food šŸ¤¦šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø so maybe try that? Then either feed it to him or just put it in front of him but off plate so he sees that’s where it’s from xxx

I’m on the same boat, she refused dinner, breakfast this morning it’s been going on like this for a week now and I make her favorites and she won’t eat at all. The only thing that has worked has been her grandma feeding her but we don’t live with her so it’s hard to get her to eat.

Have you tried giving him options. Asking him what he wants to have to eat?

I’ve tried having a picnic with him and have tried giving him food I know he’ll usually eat. I’ve noticed everyday is different with him some days he will be willing to eat his food and others he will completely refuse. Sometimes he will start eating it and after one or two bites he won’t eat it anymore. Apparently it’s normally at this age for them to be picky and want be in control but I can’t rest knowing he hasn’t ate a full meal😬x

I would definitely not try to force feed him, at that age he’s fully capable of self feeding and I’m sure he doesn’t want to relinquish that control. How much milk does he drink during the day? Is he sick or teething?

He had 2 bottles a day so 1 in the morning 1 and in the evening and 1 in the night .. mainly has about 7oz ..
