Baby inconsolable with trapped wind/colic

I'm struggling to wind my almost 3 week old baby who seems to really be struggling with gas, especially in the evenings. I try upright burping techniques and tummy massage but it seems to accumulate. Today I only fed her breast milk and no formula and she was still bad though I am on antibiotics for mastitis so maybe that is affecting her. I'm at my wits end, crying a lot cos I feel like I'm failing her and wondering if anyone else is going through this / has wisdom to share?

My baby is also 3 weeks old and has been struggling with gas. Infacol seems to relieve some of the pain, I just give her a drop of it before feeding her.

We’ve also just started infacol with my little girl. She’s 3 weeks sat. Struggling with wind the bottom end. EBF. Crying and tensing her tummy , knees to chest, going red. Especially 3-6am 🫠🫠

We are the same as the three of you!! He will be 4 weeks old on Monday. Today someone recommended just winding him constantly throughout the day. So every time we nappy change, play etc etc add in winding to our day rather than just when feeding. Our bad times are normally 2am-8am where he is constantly wriggling and squirming with tummy issues. We also noticed in the last 48 hours he seems to really have developed. He is a lot more alert and hasn’t slept as much during the day today… we wonder whether he has just reached some sort of growing development/milestone… I’m thinking positively and hope it means easier nights on the way 🤞 Let’s see how tonight goes 🤞🤞

We had this for weeks! Infacol and gripe water didn't help but colief did a bit... We also took him for craniosacral therapy which seems to have helped him loads! He's 7 weeks now and much more settled x

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences - just knowing we're not alone is a massive help. I've ordered infacol which should arrive Sat so will defo try that and random regular winding through the day. She won't lie on her back for long at the moment so having to cosleep instead of sleeping in her crib and that's only after she's soothed herself to sleep on the boob.
