In the same situation with the same age gap. Super nervous and just hoping for the best 😩

My little ones are 13 months apart, and it was quite difficult the first year. The first 3 months are quite easy because the baby will be sleeping most of the time (hopefully) or just laying in the play gym or something so you can give the attention to your first after that I found it exhausting just because my second was waking up every hour in the night!! But it does get easier around 7/8 month when they do have more of a routine. The big advice I would give is to get out of the house, to play group or soft plays or anything, because it helps regulate your oldest and helps you to get some fresh air. And also I found that they do behave better when outside.

Ours are 15 months apart. My toddler is super easy & has started attending local preschool 4 days a weeks for 5h every day which helps. I'd say if you have grandparents, some sort of childcare for elsest & the right gadgets etc then it's pretty ok. Of course it can be challenging when they're both ill etc, but it's not that bad. I'd just say preparation is key lol. Get enough baby play pens, bouncers anything to keep them apart when necessary and for your own sanity and so you can have your hands free for potentially needy toddler xx you'll be fine and they'll be best friends eventually. My two oldest are 13 months apart and while it was absolutely exhausting in the beginning, they’ve become best friends and want to do everything together now at 5 and 6. They even share friends half the time.
