Just had our fetal echo at 24 weeks and was diagnosed with Velamentous Cord Insertion (VCI). Has anyone else been diagnosed with this & have encouraging experiences? Feeling nervous.
I can’t really help because I only had this diagnosis for 4 weeks (between anatomy and fetal echo) but I do advise you what my doc did me: don’t google it. You might find some good stories but you’ll probably also find horror stories.
My IVF friend went through it with her now 2.5 yo son and had no serious issues and delivered at full term via C-section (but that was due to her blood thinners more than Velamentous CI).
