I’m a SAHM, I spend the whole day with my baby, he’s 9 weeks this week, we play all day, I do all the things, and yet, as soon as he sees my husband he starts smiling and cooing, and I think is because babies think of their mom’s like an extension of themselves, so maybe that’s why. But just try to think from the comfort stand point, my baby won’t stop crying unless I hold him. He will only fall asleep with me. I’m sure she loves you! Just keep doing the things to connect with her and eventually you will get there
I wouldn’t beat yourself up over it. They’re too little to know what they’re doing. I’m home all day with my son having the best of time with him but as soon as my daughter comes home from school it’s “screw mom I want my sissy” and he’s indifferent to my husband. I’m also a big believer they feed off your energy. I know my husbands mood post work determines my sons attitude towards him.
My 2 month old is crazy over his dad more than me. I learned you have to interact with your baby a lot, sing, and read them stories in high-pitched exciting voices and do a lot of facial expression. Do quiet time, place the baby on your chest, and hum songs touch and rub your baby.
