Blood glucose test
Hi! Has anyone gone for the blood glucose test at hospital? If so, how long were you there for and what does it entail. Haven’t been given any info and I have my daughter

Yes for diabetes, can you be a bit more specific please? Do I have to stay at the hospital the whole time. How many hours exactly?
@Samantha if it’s the GTT you’re referring to, mine took about 4 hours and you have to sit and wait in department. Take a book or something. Very boring but needs must ☺️
@Samantha you do have to stay unfortunately. I found it really awkward too. It’s a few hours from memory. Think it’s 2 or 3 hours between the first bloods and the drink and the retest. Prep like you’re going on a plane re entertainment xx
