Sorry but..FUCK BLACK FRIDAY. We are all getting scammed

I put a few things into our online cart and specifically wrote down the price of each item (2 weeks ago). Most items were decent prices but in my head I thought “wait until November 28/29. The total price will go down”😂🤣 guess what, the total price went up. It shot up!!!! The price on a toddler car went up. So, they slashed the “original” price and showed the new ✨discounted price✨ which looks like a deal if you just stumbled on this item. But…it’s actually WAY MORE EXPENSIVE THE ORIGINAL PRICE i saw 2 weeks ago .

I make lists on Amazon and watch the prices and they're typically lowest over the summer, like Julyish

A lot of Black Friday deals are scams, have a look online there’s lots of articles. Just to get people to spend a fortune for Christmas because they think they’re getting a bargain

I also do what Grace does, I’ve noticed too, the more you go on a website/subscribe, they tend to send you deals

Maybe some of your items are in store only

But yes black Friday is a scam- they have cutdown with good deals

@Lena this was Amazon. If they do have a store I’m not aware of it

I noticed the same exact thing as i had been tracking a few items on my amazon list. It makes me so mad that they get away with this

There’s a website which tracks the price that items on Amazon have been so I always check there before buying in a so called “sale”. It’s https://uk.camelcamelcamel.com (there is a US one too).

@Madeleine wowwww! I’ll be using this. Thank you for sharing with us

Amazon is a scam in general. I was talking about this earlier. Only thing convenient is next day delivery if the item is priced decently other then that don’t get the hype

Anytime I save something to an Amazon wish list, I make a not of the date & price. They lie about sales & deals all the time.

Yea it’s great marketing on their part. And consumerism on out part. Don’t fall for it.

Very true to this I always tell my husband they always lie lol

We've been watching a particular toy that we almost got my son for his birthday, but didn't have the extra money so decided to wait and watch for a good sale. That was in July, so we've been keeping track of the price of it at different stores ever since. In July it was around $100. About a week ago it jumped up to around $150 everywhere so now it can go on sale for $100. Really makes me want to do that with anything big we consider buying

Yep I have a friend who works high up in retail management and it's either really stock they didn't sell from years ago that they bring out for black Friday, or like you said they up the original price and then discount. I always find January sales to be the best

I’ve noticed this too when trying to buy my son Christmas presents. Which is so aggravating because I’m a single mom so the funds could be better. But yeah it’s pretty annoying. Luckily his first birthday is in January and I know a lot of things go discounted then too because the holidays are over :)

Don’t get me started on scams & WalMart cash too lol

Yup these greedy a-holes ruined Black Friday
