My little one is 10 weeks old and has this problem gp suggested bicycle legs and because she was feeding really well 2-3oz of cool boiled water daily. Unfortunately this hasn’t helped so she’s on meds from gp and it’s helped her loads
I had the same problem try putting some infocol in it did wonders for my little one
@Sophie what medication has your GP prescribed. We’re currently going through it and everything I’ve read suggests it’s a phase but it’s becoming unbearable, both to watch him feeling like this when he’s awake and also being unable to sleep whilst he grunts, thrashes and screams in his sleep.
Tried infacol just gave my boy and upset stomach. We’ve just started using Kendamil comfort drops and OMG what a complete change within 2 days - get them x
Hi , my little boy was doing this it turns out he had reflux and the gas was trapped causing him to scream when he needed to poo , they’ve now put him on omeprozole, which has now turned the screaming to grunting but has helped a lot x
Hey, does he grunt & strain a lot when trying to poo? My baby does this & then eventually cries if she’s really struggling. If she needs to burp then she starts screaming, back arches/body stiffens up & nothing will calm her down until it’s passed. She’s been like this since she was 10 days old, she’s now 5 weeks. She was EBF but now we’re combination feeding, neither way seemed to make it any worse or better. Tried infacol, this didnt make a difference. Mentioned it to HV and she didn’t seem concerned so hopefully it’s just something that gets better with age x
