I used to I had to make lots of changes to stop it. Although I’ve been feeling a bit more anxious the last week contributed to illnesses flying around the house and so much going on leading up to Xmas

Wish I was back to my old self 😪

Try listening to a podcast such as Sleep Cove. Deep breathing will help you to switch off.

I used to be like that...I thought I was having a heart attack. Hrt sorted it out for me x

Hi Mandy, I had racing heart for a good six months of peri menopause until I realised it was being triggered by different things. Namely alcohol, caffeine and strangely neurofen. Which the body has trouble clearing out without enough oestrogen. I stopped all of these and haven’t had racing heart since. The palpatations are a very common side effect of the perimenopause. In my case they’d come on in middle of the night and lead into a panic attack. Happened for ages and was so distressing. I am so grateful that cutting stuff out of my diet has stopped them completely. Thought it might be worth a try x
