Has anyone done this for you?

I'm going to end things with my SO and my parents said my son and I could stay there. We were going to sleep in a trailer then my dad called and told me he's going to essentially make a tiny home for my son and I. Don't know how big it's going to be or where it will be on the property. Just said it will be cheaper and done in about 3-4 weeks. Anyone have family or friends that let you & your kid(s) move in after a break up or divorce?

Not to that extent but somewhat yes, I was promised that my baby and I would have a place at my mom’s and we were kicked out twice. My mom is on section 8 so she said she would add me and even get a bigger place with us added on but we never made it to that point. Idk how your parents are but if you know they’re genuine and they’ve never pushed you out over any inconvenience then I would accept. I always needed to play nice with my bd because I knew I’d have to come back when I wanted to just leave him for good.

You have some amazing parents and I wish you all the luck in the world moving forward! When I split up from my ex my mum told me I was okay to move in with her and my step dad with my daughter, we moved in and I applied for a council house for us, I only lived with her for a couple months but it was nice to be home for a while and be stress free x

Yes enjoy the support while you have it! I’m stuck in a state with no family other than my 15 yo daughter n 15 month old son, no help ever, my daughter stays with my ex husband to get away from the craziness of a toddler, I don’t blame her, but this is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do on my own at this age. My tots bio dad is a narcissist his wife is so jealous of me n my son n puts his well being at risk. Sorry for the rant! Lonely n desperate!
