Do anyone's babies suddenly have a fever with no other symptoms?

My 11 month old has a fever and its the 3rd day now. We were at the GP yesterday and just told us to observe. No request for urine stool, or blood test as my baby has no other symptoms other than fever. His fever goes up and down. Now I really think he needs a urine or blood test to see why hes having a fever. I feel like its too much for him to have fever for this long and wait until Monday, thats the 5th day. Its like Doctors here want to wait until something really bad happens for them to do something.

If you are concerned call 111. Fever could be down to so many things (including things like teething) and if it goes down with calpol/nurofen it’s less of a concern but if you are concerned/want another opinion then give 111 a call.

My little boy often had this - usually it turned out to be linked to a cold. Just his immune’s system’s way of dealing with it. But usually it would only last 24 hours or so! If you’re worried go back to the doctors!
