Why would anyone? I'm not aware of any downside apart from cost
It's very common here or houses on pillers. We don't have basements here, so it's non-issue. We very happy with how things are.
Is it a huge project when plumbing on the first floor has to be replaced or fixed?
I live in upstate NY, and there aren't very many houses here like this.
I’m in Florida so if I had a basement it’d be underwater
