Baby not burping!

Mums, I’m experiencing this really annoying issue where no matter what I do my baby just won’t burp. She’s 12 weeks today but has been doing this since she was 10 weeks. You name it, I’ve tried it and this can go on for 40+mins. Often I just have to admit defeat especially on a night as all the rocking and patting I’m doing is waking her up more if anything and she thinks it’s party time at 3am! So i admit I’ve got used to her just going straight back down in her cot without having burped. She’s doesn’t seem overly bothered but I’d be lying if I thought she could be a lot more settled in general. So it’s not making her scream but she can be a fuss pot due to the excess wind. Not sure I’m looking for tips as I really do try everything but is anyone else going through the same issue?

Kinda yes on this one! The past week he’s been harder to burp and I’m adamant about burping! Sometimes if he doesn’t burp (after trying for ages) I put him to bed and he doesn’t stop squirming around and sometimes if it’s bad I pick him up and he generally burps.

My girl is 10 weeks. She is annoying to burp because as soon as I go to she cries and stiffens up making it impossible. So I have to distract her. Waking around letting her look around. Sometimes I just let her work it out herself, like kicking around. Have to tried infacol or gripe water of anything like that just to encourage some. Xx

Sometimes my daughter is like this. I read that they don't always need to burp if they haven't taken in any extra air. Not sure about breastfeeding but if you're tipping the bottle so that there's no bubbles in the teat, the less air they take in and the less they need to burp. We usually try for about 20 minutes and if she hasn't burped by then it'll just come out at a later stage although I know it's harder when they're uncomfortable after. It doesn't really seem to bother my girl so not too sure 🤔
