Bf rejection

Had to combine feed from day 4 as my milk took time coming in. Baby is now 4 weeks old and my parents are pushing the bottle whilst I want to bf. I’m being told I am not enough for my baby and I can’t leave her starving. I feel like I’m screaming at the top of my lungs that I have to bf regularly for my supply to increase and no one is listening. When I suggest to stop bf and exc bottle feed I am told it’s my decision but it’s not my parents decide for me I feel like I’m a failure to her and my supply is going to dry up . It’s only from one boob anyway , might as well just turn the taps off now …. !!! Rant over

I can imagine how hard it is for you! If you’re worried about your supply drying up pump every feed that your baby is having a bottle. You can use that in a bottle instead of formula or build a freezer stash.

Why are your parents getting a say? It’s your baby. Decide what you want and put your foot down.

@Sophie I’m staying with them as I became a single mum whilst pregnant and had a c section so am recovering. TBH I don’t have the energy to fight them

Breast feeding is supply and demand, latch that baby constantly whenever they fuss and I promise you your body will make enough milk for them! They cluster feed for the first 12 weeks to build your supply. Please don't let anyone push anything on you. Breastfeeding is best for your baby and also builds a beautiful bond between you and your little one, It's really hard at the beginning but it's so worth it ❤️ Feel free to reach out to me if you need someone to talk to xz
