Medication while pregnant

Got my positive today for baby no. 2 🥳 but I’m a bit concerned about taking my medication in early pregnancy. I’m currently on cocodamol (30/500) for back pain, 40mg propranolol for anxiety, and omeprazole & mebeverine for IBS. I wasn’t on any of these before my first. Are any of these harmful to baby at this stage? I intend to speak to doctor about it, but will wait till I’m a few weeks down the line 😬 x

I think it’s probably just worth asking the doctor now, rather than waiting a few weeks?

Check it out on the bumps website and speak to your gp 100% as soon as possible xx https://www.medicinesinpregnancy.org/

And congratulations 😊

I also think it’s better to speak to a doctor now as the first trimester is most crucial for baby development

Thanks ladies! I think I’ll contact them mid-next week. My period is “due” on Tuesday so just want to make sure I’m actually late before I go, or else I imagine they won’t see me 🤷‍♀️ x

They’ll see you as soon as you have a positive pregnancy test 😊

I would contact them! Doesn’t matter if you’re not passed your missed period, you’ve had a positive test. I know omeprazole & cocodamol can be used in pregnancy as I’m pregnant and take omeprazole and had cocodamol in my last pregnancy. Unsure about the others though x
