teething?

my daughter has recently became SO much more clingy than she ever was she’s never been the type to care to be on me too much she likes to do her own thing but recently she’s gotten stuck to me always wants to be on me or right by me climbing on me , could it be due to her teething (she has 2 bottom teeth & top ones are trying to come in) or just a developmental change? sorry i know this is a dumb question but just genuinely curious.

It could be teething, she might just want more comfort than normal. Babies also tend to get a little more clingy around this age because they are becoming more aware of their surroundings and more aware when you're not around them.

Teething, object permanence, development changes, stranger danger awareness. Like just about anything can make your little one want you because as far as they know, you’re the only one that can help them. And it took a lot of trial and error for me to figure it out. I liked using HALT for my first. Hungry, Angry, Lonely and Tired. And teething, I keep a bag of frozen tethers, pacifiers and silicone thick straws to grab as needed. Some swear by frozen Green Onions but I have yet to try that one.

thank you both !
