Toddler Activities

How is everyone keeping their toddlers occupied indoors? I don't work Fridays, so I usually try to plan some quality time with my little boy. However, I'm currently very heavily pregnant with horrible pelvic girdle pain, so days out, soft play and toddler groups are a bit of a no go for me at the moment. He's out most of the week with grandparents, so isn't too fussy about staying home one day a week, but I'm running out of activities and starting to rely a bit too much on screen time. Usually we will play with toys, read books, I try some easy crafts/colouring but he isn't massively interested right now, he will come and help in the kitchen and loves his toddler tower so I'm going to get some baking things for us to do, we arrange the sofa cushions for him to climb on and get some energy out and we'll also go in the garden for some fresh air if the weather is dry. He is a bit of a whirlwind, with heaps of energy and a short attention span so any other ideas would be greatly appreciated!

My girls are currently obsessed with a giant box - we've put a pillow in there and a few toys abd they like to play peekaboo through the holes and to open and close the doors (flaps) .

Honestly, while your heavily pregnant, don't pressure yourself and enjoy having the cuddles and movies. The last few weeks of pregnancy with a toddler are so hard, x

My boy likes the simple things sometimes! Such as a cardboard box with holes poked in it with paper straws that he can push in and out the holes. A bit of wool with beads to practice threading. We have a sand/water table but I put lentils or pasta (dried) in it with some scoops and he'll spend ages scooping away. Rest up mama x
