Ovary pain

Hey, I keep getting quite sharp ovary pain on my left side for like the last week or so I’m 11+6 today and I sneezed this morning whilst lying on my right side and my left ovary felt like it had been stabbed as I sneezed and stayed for a few moments after. Is this normal? I’m super freaked out as it’s always my left side!

Hey! I am having the exact same, and I am 10 weeks. I've been told it's all normal and if it goes or goes by changing position then it's fine. My pain started after having a reassurance scan with my consultant. So I was obviously thinking the worst, but I've been told it's all normal. Hope you are okay xxxx

@Emmy ah Thankyou that’s so reassuring! I’ve had a few scans now aswell so was also thinking something terrible was about to happen! We’re so close to our 12 week scan now (4 days away) hope your doing ok lovely xxx

Aww glad everything is okay ❤️ I know so close now. We have another scan on the 12th of December with the consultant, but that's the time our scan should be, we are still waiting on the letter. Doing okay thank you, just super anxious!!! xxxx

I had this, had a couple scans and it’s very normal. I was having pain on just one side and was told it was because this was the side the egg was released from and where the corpus luteum formed. Should go around 12 weeks when the placenta can produce enough progesterone itself x

It's so reassuring that other women have had the same. I'm taking progesterone as well so not sure if this can cause pain? Xxxxx

Yeah I believe one of the main side effects of taking the progesterone supplements is bloating and abdominal pain. I was prescribed some early on as I had some spotting, but I didn’t take it for very long x

Ah that’s great thanks ladies! Yeah I did ovulate on the left side so that makes total sense! Hope your both doing ok symptoms wise and little babies are growing away nicely 🥰 xxx
