What kind of meals do you give to your baby?

My twins just turn 8 months and I’m thinking about having them try finger foods. Not sure what kind or if I should stick to purées… Is it too early for pasta? Im excited but scared since there’s a lot of information online.

Honestly I give my dude a little of whatever I'm eating, provided it doesn't have honey, chocolate, etc that they're not supposed to have before 1. Just keep an eye on them and offer water with it

We give our girl purees and then a little of whatever we are eating. She has just got her bottoms popping thru so food is hard for her still

Yayyy twin crew!! I haven’t started solids yet honestly just because I’ve been so busy so I’m here for the comments. I have a boy & girl 8mo twins🥰

We have only done solids my little guy didn’t like purées. We do his favorite on a weekly rotation but we add something new each week. Ex: this weeks rotations Breakfast: egg, cheese & Spinach omelette or blueberry pancakes Lunch: pb&j ( I mash up fruit for the jelly) or avocado toast with steamed carrots. We keep lunch light since he usually doesn’t like to eat a full lunch. Dinner: pasta with homemade pasta sauce & turkey meatballs or chicken with steamed mixed veggies This week he tried squash and asparagus. He loved the asparagus but not the squash so I added it to the pasta sauce until he gets used to the flavor and we will try it again in about 2 weeks! Anything he doesn’t like the first time around I usually mixed it with something he likes then try it again by itself. Not everyone is the same but this system works well for us.

This morning, my girl had half a steamed apple (ate only a few bites) and peanut butter puffs. We went out for dinner and she had a few small bites of guacamole and quite a bit of Shredded chicken! Most of her food ends up on the floor but I love to watch her enjoy it when she does

Get the solid starts app! It tells you how to serve different foods. Fully cooked pasta is fine to serve.
