C section pain

Hello. 11 weeks post partum after c section but what I noticed is if I walk too much or lift anything, for example the car seat, one side hurts, its very odd. I would’ve expected the whole area to hurt but its only one side. Is this something i should be concerned about or will it naturally heal and i need to give it more time? I wanted to go back to running but I dont think 12 weeks post partum is safe to run just yet and this pain will be delaying it.

You’ve had several layers cut open, they’ve got to heal. It took my C-section almost 2 years to fully heal and even now I get pain, especially if I cough. I would maybe suggest speaking to a doctor to make sure there is nothing underlying going on but just be good to you’re body and take it easy, you’ll know when the time is right to go back running

Mine still hurts in the middle even if I touch it, my daughter is almost 15 weeks x

My son is 6 months and I still try not to do heavy lifting. Take it easy mama

My little one is nearly 3 months old and if I've done alot in the day it aches and I know I've pushed myself too much. So the next day I'll try and rest a bit. But definitely speak to your GP if you're concerned we're all different and we all recover differently too xx

@Stephanie does it ache on a particular side or the whole area?

It's sometimes on the left and then sometimes just my scar in general. I was meant to ask the nurse when my little one when for his jabs but I forgot so I will try and ask at his next round x

@Stephanie ah okay. Yeah thats the same with me, so it could be that, but i will ask my doctor too xx
