Tips for giving liquid Omeprazole to newborns

My little one is prescribed 3ml of Omeprazole a day, if we try to give it straight as a syringe pointed to the cheek she chokes and cries. If we mix it with her full feeds she refuses the bottle, if we mix it with a little milk she refuses that too. It's really challenging. Does anyone have tips on how to give it? She's only 5 weeks old (0 weeks corrected)

Hey, I give my little boy his omeprazole through the Frida medication dummy which goes past his taste buds and helps x

@Alyssa I'll look into that, thank you!

We syringe it into my LG's mouth using an empty teat like a dummy.

I got told I couldnt mix it with her milk so we spent ages trying to find a way to get her to take it…I swear by the frida baby medicine dummy! It was the only way i could get my little girl to take it. Also incase no one mentioned it try and get the doctors/nurses to adjust the omeprazole with the weight as it can impact the reflux if it isnt right and id also make sure youre on the stronger strength…we found with the weaker one wed have to give her almost double which made it so hard to give to her!
