Also don’t forget all pregnancies are so different (I had no symptoms at all for my ectopic) and have had a completely different experience through both ‘normal’ pregnancies
Thanks for the info!!! I will test again in a couple of days to make sure the line is getting darker and than call the EPU, hopefully they can scan me earlier than 6 weeks because I’ll be going to France for the holidays for 3 weeks and I genuinely don’t think I could mentally wait that long ….
It's normally 6 weeks. My EPU see me as soon as I have a positive as I'm so high risk as I've had 3 ectopic pregnancies, however scanning before 6 weeks will probably give you more stress as they can't actually see anything. I think the earliest we saw something possibly in the right place was about 5 weeks but that was like the size of a grain of rice and they couldn't confirm until at least a week later and even then had to have an additional scan after that to check for heartbeat
I’m pregnant after my ectopic in July, I’ve got a scan booked for the 17th of December. I pray everything is okay.
Literally in the same boat, had an ectopic which lead to a miscarriage mid July and my first scan is the 19th of December only challenge is I’m officially 6 weeks on the 20th/21st of December but I’m traveling to France for the holidays on the 20th… if when they scan me they can’t detect anything which is a possibility because it could be too early than they will have to do bloods every 48 hours but because I’m traveling they will put a no fly on me :/ not exactly sure what to do yet…
I asked for blood tests, but she said because I’m not bleeding or any pain they won’t do any. So I need to wait for my scan, I think it should be pick up, but yeah a small chance it won’t be. A can’t help you there I’m not traveling anywhere. I just want to get to this scan.
Sorry to hear you had an ectopic (I had one in March). Call your EPU or whoever treated you for your Ectopic. They will scan you at 6 weeks - or that’s what happened with mine. I didn’t need to get a referral or anything I just called them up and they booked me in. If everything is normal they will tell you then discharge you from there and tell you to go the normal route of registering with a midwife etc.
