Fed up over mealtime

My son is only 2 and I’m already over preparing meals everyday. I feel like we eat the same things all the time and when I try to find different recipes it’s no use because I know he won’t eat it, he barely eats the food he actually likes. I know they say feed them whatever you eat but I’m pretty sure I can’t feed him a brownie for dinner lol. He’s the only reason I actually try and cook food because I don’t want him eating fast food everyday. Mealtime stresses me out so bad, I feel like I’m constantly worrying about the next meal. When does it get any easier?😭

Meals for toddlers don't have to be full on meals. I often scramble an egg and warm up some frozen peas. As long as you both are getting some veggies and protein with your meals you will be doing well!

Have you thought about meal prepping for him? Or spending some time on the weekend or any day if possible to get some meals made and put aside for him? I am running into the same issue with my little girl and I have heard that prepping some things can help out a bit.

This insta is super helpful!! Super simple recipes and a lot that you can freeze and reuse later! https://www.instagram.com/yummytoddlerfood?igsh=MWRqZTlodGpra3p6Yw==

my son is only 14 months but i cut back on snacks/milk during the day and he tends to be more inclined to eat food at mealtimes. other than that i don’t force it, i just save it for next time.

didn’t realize this was stay at home mamas lol. but this is what i do on weekends when im making all his meals for the day.

it got easier when I started meal planning. breakfast is always oatmeal- we just switch up fruit and toppings for variety. lunch is dinner leftovers from the night before - so really i only have to figure out dinner eveynight. having a plan going into the week is super helpful when im burnt out and not feeling very inspired in the kitchen. Ill also spend one evening a week after i go grocery shopping prepping snacks the week (washing & cutting veggies/fruit, making hummus, baking a healthy muffin, so on)
