Feeding

I'm planning on changing to combi feeding with my 11 week old. He has been exclusively breastfed up until this point so I have no idea how much formula to give him, I know the box of formula says 6 ounces, that just seems like a lot so I was wondering how many ounces other babies are taking at this age?

My baby is 10 weeks and takes anything from 2-4oz per feed x

Thank you, that helps x

My baby is 8 weeks old and has 5 oz each feed x

I'd start with 4 oz 2 hourly then slowly increase to 5 oz 3 hourly then 6 oz 3-4 hourly xx

It also apparently depends on how many calories there are per scoop. So I think it’s best to say which formula you’re planning on using because some American vs European brands will have different calories, also depends on goat or cow milk etc etc :) My girl is 9 weeks Wednesday, we do Kendamil organic and she’s been consistently eating 2-3 oz totalling 500-700 ml a day. More like 600-700 lately! That’s about 10 days per can.

@Amber that was my plan, thank you x

@Polina that's helpful thank you x

My 12 week old is combi-fed and he’s on 3-4oz per feed x

Currently 11 weeks my LO takes 3-4oz per feed and she’s currently 5kg. We do breastmilk and formula. Roughly 700ml the whole day.
