I am sorry to hear it's so tough for you. I can relate so much. It is very tough. Please allow me to share my experience. Life is so tough for teenagers these days. I've had to let go of some things. My son needed extra help with school. He liked to learn but like lots of boys a school setting wasn't the best way to learn. We've found he really struggled to do homework. For awhile he was lying about doing it. It was hard for me because I loved school, loved to do well in it. He doesn't care. Anyway So we would sit down with him and try to help. He's also had a tutor which was good too. He's doing better in school now, finally! It took a lot of work and frustration. I realized most of the time I talked to him it was about school. So he didn't want to talk to me for awhile. I started purposely not talking about it and it improved. I don't know if it helps but it's just a suggestion. The answer is always just love them.
