I will always miss my old life. Always. But I also love my new life. Always. So those two can coexist honey. I really really enjoy motherhood now and I'm sure you will too ❤️
They don’t. Those thoughts don’t go and I still have FOMO, but I started to focus more on myself and took up hobbies and see friends again around 3-4m pp. I took up Pilates, zumba. Getting out and about for myself keeps me sane, seeing friends having drinks, bar hopping, the I occasional club,- I still do all that, hubby looks after baby while I go out on a Friday night. People, food, music, good vibes makes me happy keeps me sane so I incorporate it into mum life. Just because we have kids doesn’t mean our lives have to stop and fully revolve around them, but we either need a good support system while they’re young, or wait until they’re older.
Fully agree with @Kellie
When they get older 4 or 5 years old they become more independent little humans so you start to get a little bit of your old life back. It's never the same but that's space, freedom and the fact you get more time with your partner. It happens. I watched this happen to my sister and BIL xx
Around 6 months it stopped for me❤️ Its possible you have PPD though if in UK can talk to HV
