Carriers

Ftm here and planning to go out Cardiff soon, would it be okay for baby to stay in the carrier for a few hours, going to be taking out to feed change and stretch, we will be going on the train and it’s just a massive hassle getting her pram on and off the train and trying to see if I can try reducing some of the stress😅 she will be 8 weeks on the 10th, if safe to keep her in the carrier what do I dress her in ? Would a vest top jumper trouser socks mittens and hat be okay? Or does she need more or less layers so scared she’s going to be cold but don’t want to risk overheating her😩😓

that all sounds absolutely fine to me. maybe bring more layers in your bag, but i reckon she'll be okay. and as long as the fit is all good of the carrier, i think having her in it for a good while is fine - i feel like i babywear constantly🤣xx

@keisha🍉 I have only started in the last few days so I am still very new to it😅 thank you

Yh im sure she will be ok in the carrier for a few hours, i would dress baby in a vest and sleepsuit. Just feel like they are so small and sleepsuits is the way to go and you can get the sleepsuits that havr the mittens already you just fold it. And then u just need a hat and pram suit

You don’t need to over dress them in a carrier. Yourself and the carrier count as a layer. Also if you plan on them wearing a footed sleep suit, make sure it’s one that’s a bit bigger so their feet aren’t pushed up against the material and they have a bit of wiggle room. I baby wear my little one with a wrap most days. She just wears a vest, footless sleep suit, socks, a hat, and if it’s extra chilly that day, a knitted footless all in one. She’s a hot baby and I’m sweating usually haha. Take some extra layers just in case if you feel like you need it :)
