Milk question

Hey mama’s I was wondering when do you increase your LO milk? My mom keeps telling me to increase it a little bit each week but I thought it was based off of how much your baby weights. My 4 month old is 14 lbs so he be getting about 35 oz in a 24 hour period. He is gaining weight and his pediatrician has no problems with his feeding schedule. So I was just wondering how y’all do it or what follow

Is this formula?

I say do whatever is comfortable and feels right to you. If the pediatrician hasn’t raised any concerns, then ignore your mom.

@Madison it’s both formula and breast milk

I was told to just follow with your babies cues. If they’re finishing the bottle completely or still giving hunger cues and looking for more after you breast feed. Offer an additional oz or two. If they don’t finish it’s fine. You’ll notice after a bit they will normalize and the amount they’re drinking now plus the oz or two will be the new norm. My son’s pretty normal at 5oz-6oz every 3-4 hours. I try for 4 hours(he was on 3 hour clockwork for 2 months) but if he’s showing hunger cues earlier I feed him early or sleeping past 4 I let him sleep and feed when he wakes up.
