Initially it’s extremely difficult to find, took me forever the first few times. It was very very low at the public area initially to find the heart beat and I was going too high.
Depends on how far along you are, there’s a range of area to find the heartbeat! I struggled at first but it’s gotten easier. Also it’s a light flutter that you want to look out for, not the solid heart beat you hear at the ultrasound.
How far gone are you? I’ve used one between 13-38 weeks everyday and always been able to find her. At the beginning she was very low down in my hip bone x
My midwife could find it at 11 weeks but I couldn’t find it until 13 weeks and even then it was super hard to find and very low in the public bone

At 15 weeks it can still be hard to find. Give it a few weeks. If your OB or midwife is willing, bring your doppled and ask them to help you find it. You could also have an anterior placenta which will make it significantly harder to hear the heartbeat until you are *far* along
Yes… my mom got me one and I couldn’t ever find the heartbeat! I’ve read that it’s pretty much better not to get one because it’s supposed to be for peace of mind or whatever but everyone has trouble actually finding it!
