Advice for a better nights sleep. 😅

I’m 28 weeks pregnant, I’m up 3x in the night to go to the loo, I’m tossing and turning from one side to the other frequently, I wake up at about 3am with energy and can’t go back to sleep for what feels like forever. My sinuses the last couple of days have been blocked and I’m working 9-12 hours a day and getting pretty exhausted when I get home. Plus does anyone else feel at this stage really heavy, like pushing down. I feel like one side of my pubic bone area is swollen and gets bigger throughout the day. 🤦🏼‍♀️

literally! i couldn’t agree more with everything 😭😭 especially the waking up at 3am haha

No tips unfortunately 😭 I’m the same! Ive got a toddler who is going through a clingy phase also so I’m up peeing and then she’s up through the night wanting me too. We’re getting to that stage where it’s just frustrating now and we’re ready for baby to make an appearance. I’d maybe speak to your work as they will need to make reasonable adjustments to help you there x

Felt like I could have written this myself.. the 3am club is not fun. Sometimes I manage to get back to sleep after an hour if i’m lucky. Also hate when anyone tells me ‘oh it gets worse’ that’s just not helpful! 🤣

I’m the exact same currently, don’t think there is anything we can do differently to avoid it now 😭 I’m really struggling to stay sleeping on my side as well now, as i just can’t get comfy

@Becca don’t listen to those people 😂 pregnancy tired and newborn tired are totally different. I got told the same but it’s a different level of tiredness and much more manageable with a newborn I promise x

Feel exactly the same. Woke up every hour from 12 till 6 am today 🙈 I try not to have any water at least an hour before bed.. and make sure I go toilet once or even twice while getting ready for sleep. Sometimes that will make me sleep till 3 am without waking up

I’m sorry to hear that. I had a similar experience and found that my sleep issues kind of resolved itself, then came back. I got some magnesium supplements from Boots and they have worked wonders!

I’ve been the same for the last two weeks, if I’m not up to go to the loo then I’m moving from side to side because my pelvis/hips/legs/back are hurting. I’ve gone from being an incredibly deep sleeper to an incredibly light sleeper, the slightest noise wakes me up and I struggle to go back to sleep!!

@Samantha Thank you ☺️ not sure why people have to say it and bring the negative comments as if it is helpful 🙄

I have tried magnesium supplements which bring some relief with cramps and can help with sleep

Thanks guys.. I’m going to the GP tomorrow about another thing but I’ll ask them about taking magnesium supplements, anything that will help me get some sleep. This is our 5th pregnancy and first baby, we lost 4, so I’m all for whatever it can throw at me, but heartburn, medication, needing the loo all the time, lungs getting squished, pelvic hernia, nausea and sickness still every morning, I just can’t not have sleep too at the moment ☺️.

No tips unfortunately but being away at 3am is not it!! I’m trying to get as comfy as I can but as soon as I fall asleep I’m uncomfortable again! 😭

No advise unfortunately but I can completely relate to this 🤣
