I'd ring 111 quicker than waiting for a GP and 111 will be able to either book a GP appointment or let the hospital know you are coming if needed

My son had this when he was about 9 months. It was a burst ear drum from a build up of fluid after having Covid then bronchiolitis. I would call 111/GP

Could it be from where he has longer nails and he just messed around with his ears causing a cut ? Have you thought about just wiping the dry blood away to have look xx

I got this once (as an adult) and it was caused by an ear infection. I called 111 because it proper freaked me out and they got me a GP appointment for that day and the GP gave me antibiotics. I’d call 111, if your little bubba is ill better to know sooner ❤️

It can be due to a burst ear drum, I had this a few times as a kid - the first time it happened my mum freaked out but the dr was very casual, just cleaned it up and gave me antibiotics for the ear infection. Also if it’s a burst ear drum you want to keep the ear dry during baths/showers so use ear plugs

My daughter caught the inside of her ear with her nail and it looked like this. I wiped the blood away and saw the tiny cut x

Either a nail or perforated ear drum- definitely ok just to wait until you can see the GP 😊
