Partner is ill…
Due anytime now exciting except my hubby has been struck with illness chesty cough and cold he is my only birthing partner as my mum bless her will just make me more anxious (she’s not good under pressure)
Will he be aloud in the hospital for the birth!?
He’s had it for weeks progressively getting worse. 😢
Don’t want to go through labour alone.
Any advice?

They allowed my partner a week ago, he had chesty cough for about two days and we had to go for sudden emergency C-section due to some issues. He was allowed inside theater and also in maternity ward but had to wear mask and gloves all the time. Similar to you, he was my only birthing partner as our families live in India and I had no other option.
Could he get a doctors appointment as it might be a chest infection that some antibiotics might cure?
If he’s had it for weeks could it be a chest infection. Hopefully if you haven’t got it by now then you are protected and baby will be protected through you!
