Following as I have the same issue.
@NatalijaI’m working through this challenge with my 11 week old & honestly persistence is key! The below is what is working at the moment☺️ Firstly after some good reviews and recommendations I purchased the Nanobebe bottles (we were initially using mam) this is the only bottle initially she wouldn’t push out and she now drinks from it. Secondly I played around with my breast milk being in the bottle at different temperatures and formula, unfortunately my little one didn’t take to my breast milk at all it’s like she knows it’s not from the source but after some persistence she will take the formula. Thirdly I started with one bottle a day, to get her used to it and then am slowly increasing (currently trialing three a day) Lastly I tried to make it fun for her so I let her explore the teat first taking in and out of her mouth. Also dipped it in breast milk and let her suck at it to get familiar!
Same issue here all of a sudden! My midwife told me to try sneaking it in during a night feed after offering a little boob to take the edge off. So far we are still trying but I have heard it can work! She is at least less offended by the bottle but still yet to drink 😖
@Natalija now my little one will take the bottle and drink 3 1/2 ounces but then I will wait 30-45 minutes before topping up with breast feeding so she doesn’t get used to just having it straight away if she doesn’t have a full feed as I find the hungrier she is the more likely she’ll take to the bottle! Good luck I know it’s a struggle but I hope this helps!
Are you using fresh milk or has it been frozen? It could be the taste from high lipase. I don’t really know how to help with it long term since my first never had issues with the taste. My second does (and I found out when she refused a bottle from frozen milk while I was at an appt 45 min away 🥲) so if I need to be away for a while I’ll just pump into a bottle and leave it room temp or in the fridge since it doesn’t taste gross until it’s frozen
@Natalija I have the opposite problem 😬 did both from the beginning and later she decided she only wanted the bottle of expressed milk 🤦🏻♀️ my friends had the same issue as you and they were all successful after persevering. One of them said baby would only accept bottle in the day and more likely to accept from other people than mum. Good luck!
I have the same issue, except she is now struggling with the breast and seems to get upset if too much milk flow 😔 I don't know what to do and it makes me very anxious that she won't take a bottle as back up either 😭
Wow I am in the exact same situation with my 3 month old 😫 any suggestions or tips would be very helpful too xx
